About The Provider
Dr. Mark Brinkman is a board-certified pediatrician. He earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, followed by his pediatric internship and residency at Michael Reese Hospital and the University of Illinois Hospitals. He served as chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Brinkman also served as pediatrician and flight surgeon in the United States Air Force for 20 years, including acting as the Pediatric Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General. He was an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services Health Sciences University, teaching in the pediatric residency programs at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Walter Reed Medical Center and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Dr. Brinkman was deployed to Oman and Afghanistan and participated in humanitarian missions to Guinea & Ghana Africa, El Salvador and Costa Rica.
Dr Brinkman's interests include children with special needs, having a daughter with Down syndrome, and sports medicine.
