An annual mammography is recommended for women over the age of 40 by the American Cancer Society. All women, no matter their age, should notify their doctor about any possible changes with their breasts.

Annual screening mammogram does not need an order from an ordering provider. However, if there are any changes to your breasts, or a history of cancer, you will need to contact your primary care physician prior to scheduling your screening mammogram.
