Kyla Smith, MD

Kyla Smith, MD is a board-certified pediatrician and is also board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. 

Dr. Smith earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where she developed a passion for caring for children and adolescents. She completed her pediatric residency training at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Following residency, Dr. Smith practiced in a rural community in South Carolina, providing comprehensive pediatric care to children and families with limited access to healthcare services. She later returned to the Chicagoland area and became the first pediatrician at Rush Copley Hospital, helping to expand pediatric services for the growing community.

For the next nine years, Dr. Smith cared for underserved populations at Esperanza Health Centers in Chicago, where she was dedicated to improving access to high-quality healthcare and supporting the unique needs of diverse families. Throughout her career, she has been committed to building lasting relationships with patients and empowering families to make informed decisions about their children's health.
