Dr. Katherine Mercy is a board-certified dermatologist.
She earned her doctorate in medicine from Georgetown University and went on to Northwestern / McGaw Medical Center, Children’s Memorial Hospital for dermatology and pediatric residencies where she was Chief Resident. As a physician, Dr. Mercy finds it essential to empower patients by providing them with an understanding of their diagnosis and of the available treatment options.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Mercy specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, a specialized, highly effective technique used to track and remove cancerous roots. The goal of Mohs surgery is to remove as much of the skin cancer as possible while doing minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissue. It is recognized as the skin cancer treatment with the highest cure rate – up to 99%, as compared to a cure rate of 85% to 92% for standard skin cancer surgery.
