James P Sur, MD

Dr. James P. Sur graduated Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1998. He then received his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine graduating Cum Laude in 2002.

After medical school, Dr. Sur completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Dr. Sur started his general cardiology fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He then completed his general cardiology fellowship and his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Dr. Sur has expertise in the assessment and management of patients with pulmonary hypertension. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Sur specializes in both coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He currently is performing carotid angiography and stenting. In addition, he is trained in the performance and interpretation of both transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, stress testing, and Holter monitoring.
