Because of a tragedy in the family, I had not followed Dr. Fritz's diet and exercise recommendations this past month. She was very understanding. Instead of reminding me how I was hurting my health, or the benefits of diet and exercise, she recognized my grief. She helped me figure out how I could get back to my routine in small incremental steps that were really helpful.She understands the mechanism of stress eating, which is what I have been doing. She is very knowledgeable about the way metabolism works. But during this visit, I recognized her empathy, and in this case, it really helped me get back on track.

Dr. Fritz helped me lower my A1C to a high normal range through diet and exercise. She even recommended a reading assignment to help motivate me. It was very helpful. I trust her expertise. What I think she does remarkably well is include me in my treatment plan. It make such a difference because I have ownership in my treatment.
